Double Sub

$18,000

This fine fellow, Double Sub, dates back to 1993, created in December in preparation for a two person show at the Chazen Gallery at the Wheeler School, Providence RI. The third in a series that utilized the washer disc as a form generating 'driver'. The expanded, inflated look,  follows the contours that seemed natural while welding them together, a kind of material-directed form generation. These 3" discs are quite substantial, at 1/8" thick each, and provide substantial stability and strength: very solid in spite of the relatively narrow neck.
